yankee game today:What a day that was! I am absolutely stoked to write this post, its not going to be long! We had some of the best baseball in our community today, there were a few players to watch and one to celebrate with. Even though we didn't get all the ball hits we wanted (we were still able to take advantage of those opportunities) it was an overall good day for me. There were plenty of reasons I'm proud of today's game. First off, I think Tommy Lasorda played his best game of any manager in history. He made no excuses for how he felt during his time as manager of the Yankees, instead he said 'yes' when asked and gave every team at least a chance. If you watched this game without Tommy and his staff, as so many fans would have done, it wouldn't look like they really like baseball. They are amazing people to work with on and off the field. I'm also very happy I got to spend some more time with my buddy Jason. He is such a huge part of the New York organization, if I didn't get the day off, I would've spent most of my night worrying about where I would be going on Tuesday. But thanks to Mr. Lasorda and everyone who stood behind him for me I could take care of myself enough to do what I needed to do as he asked. Second, it was nice to celebrate two former teammates and friends again! It has been three years since that last game against The Dodgers and it feels like we've been together forever. Another way that was nice was having this fun afternoon full of laughs that turned into genuine friendship and fun. Lastly, the fans did their part too, they cheered loud as much as they could while they waited for the pitch to go by. When we returned to our hotel, our group finally had our first full meal together in a week, I can't wait to be back on my own. Hopefully tonight we can get an even better game tomorrow, so then we can really start over. A quick reminder, if you're looking forward to reading my next blog, send me a message and let me know.
